Matcha
Matcha is made from finely powdered Green Tea leaves that are shade grown in the latter stages before harvest. Matcha has an incredibly concentrated flavour as the whole leaf is consumed rather then simplyĀ drinking the liquid yieldĀ from brewing regular tea leaves. This is also the reason why Matcha hasĀ the greatest health benefits, highest levels of antioxidants and also higher levels of caffeine.
Due to its powdered nature, it is widely used in culinary dishes while the highest grade Matcha (Tencha Matcha) is reserved for the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.Ā
