White Peony Cake is a refreshing white tea, providing both traditional health benefits and a low caffeine content. Made with Pai Mu Tan, also known as Bai Mu Dan or White Peony, the cake displays a beautiful array of silver buds and green leaves.
Characterised by its light to medium velvety mouth feel with a Darjeeling like taste, it is a great way to start your white tea exploration and makes for an exceptional gift.
Tasting notes present a fresh, sweet, mellow white tea, lightly reminiscent of a white wine's floral fruity tones. Pai Mu Tan pairs up nicely with fish and seafood dishes and is a fantastic palette cleanser.
Each cake measures 11.5cm and weighs 100g, producing between 20-30 cups with multiple brewing infusions possible.
