Hong Kong Tea Fair 2018

The 10th Hong Kong International Tea Fair will be on 16-18 August 2018.

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has already received worldwide acclaim and recognition as a major international tea trading platform.

In 2017, 225 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions were brought into contact with more than 15,700 buyers from 55 countries & regions.

Salina's thoughts -
Why Hong Kong Tea Fair: Hong Kong is the melting pot for many cultures and international trade since its colonial days. It is the bridge to China - culture, commerce and much more.

While you can certainly find bigger tea fairs in China and other parts of the World, I personally find I can be a bit "faired / expo-ed out" if the show is too big. I'd like to have a good mix of breadth and depth in terms of suppliers but at the same time, not too many so that after a day's working and walking around the expo, I feel completed without needing for another day or 2 information overload.

I am certainly biased, for I come from Hong Kong ;)

I would rather go to a fair in Hong Kong than China for Hong Kong businesses are more straight talking for its long history of trading with the western world.

Hong Kong Chinese generally has a better average English competency.

My invite to You

I plan to go to the Hong Kong Tea Fair this August, and I would be more than happy to show you my hometown.

I am asking for your expression of interest for a Fair + Tea Tour around Hong Kong with me.

I can help arranging usual logistics like transport, hotels etc, or we can keep it simple - we meet for the Tea Fair, plus a few activities like tea classes with masters, yum cha, visiting Hong Kong cafes and more.

(I can take you shopping and eat in some local markets too...let's chat of what you want)

Drop me a line if you are keen to discuss?
